CAROLE

Carole McVay was born and raised in a small Iowa farming community. She received a nursing diploma from Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines and married Jim just before his Senior year of college. After Jim's graduation she followed him around the world for the next 21 years. She did a little part time work in nursing while raising their two son's and when the boy's got into high school she went back to school herself. She obtained a Bachelors Degree in Nursing from the University of West Florida. After graduation she took a position with a local Home Health Nursing agency and later went to work for the Florida Public Health Department.  After 30 years of Jim's nagging she finally got her amateur radio license (KC5GZB) in 1994.  She enjoys the summer work in Yellowstone National Park and spending the winters somewhere between Key West, Florida and Yuma, Arizona.
